Pisum sativum - snap pea
I'm excited to finally be able to offer these! This was a spontaneous (or mystery cross) that appeared many years ago at my place but as it started with one plant I wasn't able to have enough to share until now. My family's favourite. They are mid-early and edible through and through. We eat them fresh, cook or cut them pods and all and freeze for winter. Tentatively called Icicle because of its pale colour and crisp texture, we have been informed that it *could* be even lighter (though hard pressed to be tastier)! So maybe a new name? Suggestions.
